Melbourne has been my home for over 10 years. I started Melbourne Girl in 2009, after falling in love with the city; my new home and all the dreams and inspiration it shares with it’s residents and visitors day after day. This leads me to this post, 42 Things I Love about Melbourne.
The city has continuously been voted the world’s most liveable city and for good reason – it is a freaking amazing place to live, work, play and raise a family!

Hej Emily,
I’m just writing an article about my love to Melbourne and the disappointment when I visited Sydney 🙂 Your list is great but one thing is missing – St. Kilda <3

Thanks for shouting out Sabrina – I do enjoy St.Kilda, perhaps a no.43 addition! I’m a huge fan of Sydney, off on an escape there this weekend! Love traveling Australia, so many beautiful places to have a holiday 🙂

Ah, what a city Melbourne is. Spent almost 6 years in Melbourne but had to leave unfortunately. The soul of Australia I must say. If I were to add something to the list it would be lygon street and its cafes. Never lacks ambience.

I left Melbourne 34 years ago but spent the first 32 years of my life there (yes I’m 66). No matter where I go or where I live Melbourne will always be home. Wish I could go back but not possible. I would add the Dandenong Ranges to the list, with its picturesque villages, gorgeous forest walks and magnificent views over the city. And it’s an easy one hour drive from the city.
