The legends behind Fancy Hanks have done it again with their latest launch, Good Heavens. A rooftop bar located amongst the cool-chic of Bourke Street and conveniently right above their already said established restaurant, it’s worth checking out.
The fit out features bright colour bursts (hello 80’s!) whilst sticking close to their Americana/Palm Springs theme. The food menu continues to showcase their skills using a barbeque with menu options such as: Southern Fried Chicken, Chicken Ribs and Nachos with brisket mole and queso.
Did we mention cocktails?
Yep, they’ve got a bucket tonne at the ready and if they don’t transport you directly to the movie ‘Cocktail’, you’re doing life wrong. We recommend the ‘HEAVENS TO BETSY’ with Wyborowa Vodka, Pierre Ferrand Dey Curucao with vanilla and fresh fruit flavours. It’s divine, delicious and something you’ll want again and again.
More of a beer drinker? They’ve got ten taps pouring craft beer and that’s not all. They’re also boasting a pretty shmick list of craft beers by the bottle (including pilsners, sours and more). As for wine and sparking, there’s something for you too (but we really recommend starting off with a cocktail).
For those wanting some tunes DJs play each weekend however it’s important to note that this venue has a strict capacity of 200 people only, so if you want to visit BE THERE EARLY.
Good Heavens is located at Rooftop, 1/79 Bourke St and is open Mon-Thur 4pm – 1am and Fri-Sun 12pm – 1am
