Footy does a fantastic job of bringing people together and there’s one date in particular on the fixture that’s a true example of this ‘coming-together’.
The inaugural Pink Lady Match is set to become a highlight of the season, where footy fans are given the opportunity to pay tribute to Australians affected by breast cancer.
In this year’s game Melbourne will face off against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon, May 15. The Demons are on the up this season and this match presents as a cracking contest against the in-form Bulldogs.
Pre-game patrons will have the opportunity to leave a personal message on a Pink Lady silhouette in a Mini-Field of Woman out side the MCG.
The Breast Cancer Network Australia is also throwing a Pink Lady Match Exquisite High Tea, which is the ultimate way to spend the occasion in style. Think champagne, canapés, dessert and inspiring guests speaker, plus some of the best seats in the house for the big game.
Importantly all proceeds from general admission tickets, at just $25, will be donated directly to the BCNA and prior to the first bounce there will be a special tribute to all Australians affected by breast cancer.
This is a game of footy that means more than just the four points on offer to the winning team and there’s nothing quite like seeing a sea of pink engulf the MCG.
