A good traditional Italian restaurant can be hard to find. In Elsternwick, there is a little restaurant called Bocconcini that a lot of people don’t know about.
And they should. Because it is awesome.
The business opened in early 2015, and Fabio and his wife Tracy have managed to mix modern Italian flavours with the more traditional classics you can expect in an Italian restaurant. Bocconcini is a restaurant that caters to all taste-buds – whether you prefer a traditional Italian pizza or a creamy risotto, it has it all. A lot of the ingredients are also sourced from Italy.

All of the dishes I have tried are mouth-watering. (And I have tried the majority of them, and a lot of my friends have tried the remainders!)
It’s rare to see a plate with food left on it in this restaurant, although the portion sizes are very generous. It’s also a good idea to leave room for dessert – trust me!
What else can you expect to find at Bocconcini? A warm welcome from Fabio and excellent service. The staff are all fantastic.
