If you are a foodie looking for the latest food and wine festival in Melbourne, then the inaugural East Malvern Food and Wine Festival is the place to be in November.
This exciting new foodie festival, featuring wines from the Bendigo and Heathcote regions and gourmet food from local restaurants, was launched last night at the very cool One Misty Guy café in Malvern East. The night commenced with tastings of some of the luscious wines that will feature in the festival and nibbles from One Misty Guy’s fabulous menu, with a scrumptious focus on pizzas and delicious tapas treats.
This type of festival is new to East Malvern and will offer a rare opportunity to experience unique local food and wine events. There will be exclusive food and wine matching dinners, wine tasting events, special offers at local providores and the festival will culminate with a fabulous food and wine festival event in Central Park.
The park event will give you the chance to enjoy an intimate experience of chatting to famous winemakers and tasting over 100 of their wines. You will also be able to meet local food heroes, taste international and Australian cuisines and take home some delicious samples of the best gourmet food in the region. There will also be a very fun, exclusive, long table brunch event which will feature a unique tasting menu with beautiful matched wines.
The East Malvern Food and Wine Festival will run for ten days and culminate in the free festival event in Central Park on Sunday 27th November.
