Chapel Street has grown a brand spankin new set of balls in the form of it’s newest hot spot, The Meatball and Wine Bar.
Taking over what once was a chocolate lovers dream, San Churro (RIP) the heritage listed venue has completely transformed (thanks to the legends at Techne Architects) into it’s own inviting world and it looks incredible. A sleek, sexy and all so lustful ambiance had been set that make this venue perfect for after work drinks, date nights and random foodie adventures with your pals.
Special mentions going out to the neon sign that greets you on the way to the restrooms. Reminding you that although ‘sometimes you wine and sometimes you booze’ we find ourselves balancing the two rather well.
Serving up some of the best (locally sourced and made in house) meatballs (if not THE best) that Melbourne has to offer, their menu caters for all and features a fantastic array of tasty, mouth watering goodness. Even though the meatballs certainly are their signature dish(es), there are other options for those who don’t want balls in their mouth.
Expect beautiful charcuterie boards of artisan cheeses with fresh cuts of prosciutto, parmesan cheese with honey served on warm foccacia, an array of different delicious meatballs (vegetarian, beef, pork and more) roasted vegetable with warm meatball salads, whoopie mac cookies and SO MUCH MORE.
Did we mention the cocktails? They’re all worth it but we recommend the ‘Spritz Pop’ for the upcoming warmer Melbourne days/evenings and already know it’s going to be a summer hit!
Opening just in time for the silly season, The Meatball & Wine Bar is without doubt going to be a favourite amongst the locals of Chapel Street.
