We checked out Prahran’s newest health and wellness studio and let us tell you, it’s sumthing else! Nestled on High St, Sum of Us is situated in a Victorian-style homestead that has been converted into a light and airy haven with a café frontage and treatment rooms/studios stretching back.
The space offers everything a modern Melbourne girl could want – physiotherapy, podiatry, myotherapy, pilates, yoga, meditation, dietetics and a delicious and health café – all of which can be enjoyed within its tranquil surrounds.
We were treated to a Reformer Pilates class, which is held in a gorgeous loft space and has room for up to eight people. The class guides you through a comprehensive full body workout and is perfect for men and women of all levels.
We loved the hands on element of the session and the class size was perfect, with plenty of room for those frog leg circles and roll ups.
If you’re after something a little more tailored you can book in for an Individual Pilates class or if you’re a daring little fitness bunny, try the Circuit Pilates, which combines reformer, trapeze, slider and mat work.
Other things you should know…
• The team are bubbly, energetic and extremely welcoming, making you feel totally at ease when trying a new class or treatment.
• They also rock some seriously cool Jaggad active wear, which can be purchased from the café, so its worth slipping the bank card into your leggings.
• There’s a beautiful courtyard space out the back where you can enjoy your soy latte and dream the day away.
Sum of Us really has to be experienced to be fully appreciated so make sure you check it out.
