Four seasons in one day… Kirrily Anderson for Rainbird

Four seasons in one day... Kirrily Anderson for Rainbird

Get ready to layer up Melbourne! Winter is here and it’s time to say hello to the true meaning of four seasons in one day!

Rainbird brings good mood to bad weather, they’ve been producing high-quality outerwear since the early 1980s. But flash forward to 2017 and the brand has teamed up with talented Victorian artist Kirrily Anderson, who has been enthralled by the vibrant and creative Melbourne art scene ever since she can remember.

Kirrily’s life has been shaped by her flair for the creative and love for all things art, with experience in areas from graphic design to visual arts and most recently, as Rainbird’s newest collaboration partner. Her style has progressed from her early influence of digital elements, to the use of salvaged materials as canvases and most recently, her refined work in portraiture and figurative illustration.

Around late 2009, Kirrily began to develop her visual art practice and found much inspiration among our city’s emerging street art scene. With a fascination for fashion and a conceptual vision that is always evolving, Kirrily jumped at the challenge to experiment with designing prints for Rainbird.

“I was inspired by the bright and dynamic colours in Rainbird’s collections. The new range is something I’m really proud of – the pieces are a fantastic fusion of fashion, art and functionality” ~ Kirrily Anderson
