Having happy and healthy children is of the utmost importance to me as a Mum and that’s why I’m really excited to be teaming up with Eastland to help spread word of their wonderful Happy Campers Workshops these School Holidays.
Eastland is a recently renovated shopping centre located in Ringwood, around 25 minutes drive from the city. It’s one of my favourite centres to shop because of the great range of retailers and their wonderful Town Square alfresco dining space, on the top level. If you haven’t had the chance to visit, the next fortnight is the perfect time, you can get your shop on while the kids are having the time of their lives at a school holiday workshop!
Their range of wellness activities will have kids feeling good inside and out. The holiday fun kicked off this week and will run until Sunday 28 January, so check out what I got up to today with my son Jack, and then head over to the Eastland website to book your little tackers into one of their wonderful sessions… which include yoga, circus training, silent disco dancing, cooking and fitness bootcamp.
Read on for a full run down of some of my top activity picks…
Eastland School Holidays
Happy Campers Workshops
Rise & Shine Yoga Class
Calling all mini yogis! Little Warriors will lead kids through a fun, physical yoga class that does that little bit extra for your child’s wellbeing. Yoga helps children develop body awareness, manage stress through breathing and meditation, as well as improving concentration levels.
Performance at Play Circus Class
The ace coaches from Ruccis Circus are here these holidays to demonstrate a range of super-cool tricks including juggling, spinning plates, ribbon, hula-hoops and diabolo… So much fun, even the adults will want to give it a try when they get home!
Silent Disco Dance Class
Kids can dance around and feel the music while wearing silent disco headsets, with an experienced dance instructor. Silent discos are awesome and your little tackers will LOVE this class!
Healthy Bites Cooking Class
Kids can make fun and healthy snacks by learning to roll their own bliss balls with Gourmet Kids. Bliss Balls are easy to make with less than 5 ingredients that kids can then easily make at home. They will also get to take home their little creations to share with their families.
Bootcamp
Kids can ‘get their move on‘ with these fun bootcamp and circuit style workouts, run by a qualified instructor from the Fitnessworx crew. It’s a great thing for kids to get the blood pumping and enjoying some active play with other kids!
All Wellness Hub workshops are being held in the Central Mall on Level 1 (near Commonwealth Bank).
There is a $5 booking fee for each workshop (per participant) with all profits going to a wonderful local charity – The Alannah and Madeline Foundation. When you arrive at the workshop, you’ll receive a complimentary coffee card* and an additional hour of free parking.
Be quick to book your spot (here), because workshops are sure to fill up fast and places are limited.
