We can’t wait to kick up our heels and celebrate Spring in style! And one of our favourite things about MSFW is that it’s not just about the Runways (incredible though they may be!) – there’s a whole raft of activities to enjoy throughout Festival week.
We’ve done the hard yards, and rounded up our favourite free MSFW for you to enjoy over the coming weeks. There’s something for every Melbourne Girl (or Boy!) to enjoy, and celebrate all things fashion and style in our beautiful city.
Free things to do during Melbourne Fashion Week
1. MECCA Beauty Wonderland Pop-Up

Experience the MECCA pop-up at the Hub throughout MSFW featuring professional MECCA makeup artists who will be on-hand to create complimentary runway-to-real looks to have you Fashion Parade ready.
2. Family Day
Sunday 28th August
MSFW Hub, City Square, Swanston St
Don’t forget your little fashionistas – bring them only to enjoy the MSFW Family Day! It’ll feature free activities for the entire family between 10am and 5pm, including a Huxbaby runway and a range of kids activities including face painting, craft activities, and a dress-up photo booth.
3. Makers and Shakers Emerging Design Market
Open Friday 26th August – Friday 2nd September
Melbourne Town Hall
New and independent designers will be selling their clothing and accessories at The Makers and Shakers Emerging Designer Market throughout MSFW. Housed in the Old Met Shop of Melbourne Town Hall, the market has become a launching pad for up-and-coming designers to sell and showcase their wares.
4. Vogue American Express Fashion Night Out

Shop the city and celebrate opening night of MSFW 2016 with some incredible discounts and activations across the Melbourne CBD! With over 400 retailers getting involved, you’re invited to sip on champagne, see exclusive runway shows, brush shoulders with celebrities and fashion industry VIP’s!
