I absolutely love an indulgent High Tea, so when my daughter and I were invited to try the new Children’s High Tea at Om Nom at the Adelphi Hotel I couldn’t refuse!
Heading into the city for High Tea was such a treat for Annabel – catching the train and dressing up like ‘Elsa’ (Annabel’s definition of style) is all part of the fun, and their central location in Flinders Lane was super easy to access.
My glass of French sparkling as we were seated was the perfect accompaniment to the savoury portion of our High Tea, and a nice strong pot of T-Bar tea when the sweets arrived was just what the doctor ordered on a cold Melbourne day!
Keeping in true Om Nom style, the children’s high tea offered a fantastical selection of sweet and savoury treats – think croques petit-monsieur, fairy bread meringues and chocolate lollipops.
I love the fact that Om Nom Kitchen’s Head Chef Darren Jones brought in the expert opinion of his four-year-old daughter Vienna, who made sure that there was “enough chocolate on the menu”. She’s definitely a gal after my own heart!
High Tea is available every weekend at Om Nom, bookings are required so you don’t miss out!
